The Po-Jazz, or the art of mixing Poetry and Jazz, as a performing art form has taken Denver by storm. Del Castillo’s poetry is rhythm-based as he is a conga player but he is often supported by the musical group Brown Obsidian. Del Castillo’s poetry includes themes of veterans, immigrants, social justice, and celebration of other musicians.
