From 1946 until 1986, Buddy Johnson entertained Colorado through his numerous programs on Pueblo radio, TV, and with his Western swing band “The Colorado Rangers.” On his shows, Buddy interviewed such stars as Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Ernest Tubb, and Hank Williams. He was a fixture for decades at dances, rodeos, and parades from Alamosa to Trinidad, from Gallup to Gunnison, and Elizabeth to Eads. Today, he is often remembered for his TV show “Adventurer’s Club Show,” where thousands of Colorado children appeared from 1953 to 1962.
